If you are interested in creating art but feel like the creative gene skipped you, then you have come to the right place! Gel Plate printing is a quick, easy, fun way to stretch those creative muscles you didn’t know you had.
Creativity Unleashed!
Creating monotypes with Gel Plates is an easy, fun way to create art! In this 2 hour class we will spend 20 minutes reviewing several ways to create monotypes with a 5x7 Gelli Plate. Participants, with support, will then spend time creating their own series of monotypes using supplies provided. There is no right or wrong with this method of creating and you will love the results!

What is a monotype?
A monotype is a unique print made by creating a painting on a surface that is then transferred to paper. This type of painting creates one of a kind images.
What is a Gelli Plate?
A type of plate used in monotype printmaking. The gel printing plate from Gelli Arts is made of a unique plastic that contains mineral oil. There is no latex in the gel plate, and it does not contain any animal products.

Anyone ages 18+ may participate in this event. Children ages 12+ may participate with a parent/guardian also participating.

Dates will vary seasonally. Check the event calendar for the most current dates.

We will spend about 5-10 minutes reviewing supplies and answering related questions. We will then learn beginner printing techniques. Participants are then invited to explore wherever their imagination takes them. The class facilitator is also able to help you get started with ideas.
This class is designed to be an open invitation to explore and play as we learn new skills. Classes are not recorded.
You will be provided with handouts and resources to keep the exploration going at home.

Registration fee includes the use of studio supplies. If you would like to keep the supplies you use there is an additional fee.
